Gen X Ministry
Vision:  GenX will be recognized for its leadership and developing future leaders, making Faith United Baptist  Church the premier church “Building God’s Kingdom One Discipline at a Time”.
Mission: The GenX Ministry’s mission is to ensure a smooth transition from the  baby boomers exodus to GenX leadership; to leadership preparation for  the millennials future transition through mentorship and scholarship.

The  GenX ministry represents the largest population in the church, members  range from 36-55 years of age and the GenX members at FUBC include  ministers, ministry leaders, doctors, lawyers, nurses, teachers,  educators, social workers, entrepreneurs, managers, counselors,  construction workers, bankers, police officers, investigators, singers,  dancers, and so much more.
GenX Ministry Goals
1.     To fellowship as a ministry to develop relationships in efforts to hold each other spiritually accountable.
2.     To fellowship externally to enhance spiritual growth and increase church membership.
3.     To host fellowships and events that render revenue to build and maintain a scholarship fund.
4.     To serve as mentors to the members of the millennial generation in preparation for future transitions.

“Generation” in the Bible.
1 Peter 2:9,  it is called "a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation,  [God's] own special people." Each of these terms indicates a group, a  society, or a community that is unique in what they are and what they  are to do in God's name. The implication is that  there is nothing like them on earth. The church is unique. The church  is chosen, royal, holy, and "God's own" in a way that no other people  are.
Psalms 102:18 - This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people  which shall be created shall praise the LORD.
Psalms 71:18  - Now also when I am old and gray  headed, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto  [this] generation, [and] thy power to every one [that] is to come.
